1. 11.) I find the field of power generation fascinating
2. 2.)The reason I chose this field is because I have
always found the idea of generating energy fascinating and complex. I became
interested in this topic the first time I realized you could generate
electricity by simply turning the shaft of an electric motor.
3. 3.) The most
surprising thing I have learned from researching my topic is that the main
reason we don’t have renewable energy is not due to a lack of technology, but
because regulations stop promising ideas from being attempted let along
enacted.
4. 4.) A large amount of people finds this debate
heated and obtuse. People want to say that the old way works and why fix what
isn’t broke? These arguments are mainly between the left and right political
parties.
5. 5.) The topic is very easy to research but it must
be itemized. If the prompt doesn’t get worded correctly it could change the
entirety of the papers effect.
6. 6.) Some subtopics are cost to construct,
environmental impact, number of employees, amount of time to get up and running,
and risk of failure.
7. 7.)Some other questions are
what the true cost of electricity on the
environment is
what
does working in a nuclear power plant do to the human body
how long can a station stay running
what is the effect of nuclear radiation on
an environment
how long does fuel in a nuclear reactor
last
8. 8.) Power, output, cost, environment, complexity,
failure, and legislation.
Research Question: What is the most power per dollar efficient energy plant?
