Wysocki
This text discusses the conventions of page layout and structure for different genres. It talks about how when we read different genres we expect the page to look different or be formatted different and whether or not we expect it to have pictures. Wysocki also points out that throughout time and advancement of technology these norms of page layout conventions change and can continue to change. Throughout the article the different way to use layouts is explained and defined for example, different fonts are explained and interpreted as well as the use of pictures. The use of pictures is explained for instance, when a text would have a diagram or a drawing of some kind. All those different things can help the reader make connection throughout the text. Reading this text made it very apparent that every genre has conventions and that everything we see or read is part of a genre.
