Multiple Media of Texts

In this chapter that explains all of the types of choices that go into deciding the visual elements of books, blogs, etc.  I was surprised to find so many details were chosen because of their visual appeal.  Although thinking of creating an attractive format for people to want to read the paper, I had not understood that so much thought went into basic things such as the font of medieval texts.  While I knew that thought went into the visual attraction of texts like graphs and photographs, I had not realized this thought had been present in past generations.
