This work discusses visual conventions rather than genre convetions through text. I have never realized that the size of a book has to do with the audience it is made for, like a children's book is made smaller with larger text. and an encyclopedia is larger and heavier, a child would not be carrying a book like this around. This helps me with my subversion, I am creating a cartoon and i will be able to tailor it to children while having the content be for young adults in a stairical way.
