Subversion and Redemption

I found the topic in this article very interesting especially the fact that a parent was able to turn a chore that they dreaded at times into a best selling book. I am intrigued that someone was able to turn the idea of putting a child to sleep that is always portrayed in movies to be peaceful and pleasant into a vulgar story. The brutal honesty found in GTFTS makes me think about all the other aspects of our day to day lives that people glamorize and avoid portraying in a negative light.
